The Tort of “Intrusion Upon Seclusion”

In the case of Jones v. Tsige, 2012 ONCA 32 the Ontario Court of Appeal established a new tort for invasion of personal privacy which it called the tort of “Intrusion upon Seclusion.” Dana Schindelka explores the significance of the decision in this paper, which was presented at the 2012 Davis LLP Western Canada Employment & Labour Law Conference in Edmonton on October 24, 2012.
