Davis LLP's Larry Page was recently interviewed by Canadian HR Reporter for the story "Bar Raised in Random Drug, Alcohol Testing," which appears in the July 15 issue.

On the Supreme Court's decision to side with the union in Communications, Energy and Paperworkers Union of Canada, Local 30 v. Irving Pulp & Paper, Ltd., Larry remarks, "It’s a bit of a surprising decision because it does change the test that had been fairly well-accepted in arbitration awards.” He goes on to elaborate on the implications of the key ruling on management's right to conduct random alcohol and drug testing in the workplace.
