Davis LLP is proud to congratulate Howard Kellough, Q.C., and Francisco Quimpo of Vancouver, BC, and Tim Duholke, FCA of West Vancouver BC, for receiving Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II’s Diamond Jubilee Award medals.
Howard and Tim, respectively a partner and a senior tax advisor in the firm’s Vancouver office, were awarded the commemorative medal for their significant contributions to the Canadian Tax Foundation. The medals were presented at a ceremony during the CTF’s Annual Conference held in Calgary on November 25. Howard served as governor, member of the Executive Committee and then chairman of the CTF in 1996. Howard was also the co-author of three editions of Taxation of Private Corporations and Their Shareholders, a leading taxation textbook. Tim was a member of the Executive Committee from 2000 to 2004 and also 2005 to 2009. In 2003, he acted as Interim Executive Director of the CTF and in 2008 was chairman of the CTF.
Francisco Quimpo, a litigation paralegal also from the Vancouver office, was awarded the medal on November 30 for his exemplary work and service as a leader in the Filipino-Canadian community. His initiatives have promoted a better understanding of Filipinos in Canada by showcasing their unique culture and heritage.
The Diamond Jubilee Award is a significant award established to mark the 2012 celebrations of the 60th Anniversary of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II’s ascension to the Throne. It serves to honour significant contributions and achievements by Canadians in our society. Only 60,000 medals were given to Canadians across the country.
