Status Update on Firm Service Level During Alberta Flooding Crisis

June 24, 2013

Due to the major flooding Southern Alberta has experienced, Calgary and its surrounding areas have been devastated by the amount of damage and loss this catastrophe has inflicted. Many people are returning to their homes as evacuation orders are slowly being lifted; however, Downtown Calgary continues to be inaccessible. At this time, it is still uncertain when power will be restored to the downtown core.

As part of our Business Continuity Plan, Davis LLP has taken measures to ensure its Calgary lawyers and staff are functioning at the level that is expected from our firm. Our lawyers across the country are working together to assure our clients and stakeholders that Davis LLP is responding to their needs in a timely manner. We will continue to provide status updates on our Calgary operations as information becomes available.

Our thoughts continue to be with families, colleagues, peers, and friends who are still coping with the devastation in their respective communities in Calgary. We truly believe that the City, through the resilience of its people, will overcome this crisis and come out strong.

We thank everyone for their continued patience and understanding during these trying times.
