Michael Styczen, P.Eng

Michael's practice focuses on commercial transactions in the energy sector, including the development of conventional oil and gas and shale gas, LNG, conventional pipeline projects, and electric generation and transmission.

Michael has led or assisted on a large number of domestic and international transactions in the energy sector, including the purchase and sale of a number of shale gas, oil sands and conventional oil and gas assets, conventional electricity generation assets, clean (wind, solar and hydroelectric) electricity generation assets, and pipeline assets.

Prior to his legal career, he practised as a professional engineer working as an environmental and operations supervisor in the electricity industry and as an environmental engineer in petroleum refining.

Michael is a marathoner and triathlete, and has contributed to a number of non-legal publications including Canadian Running magazine.
