Jennifer Cleall

Recently, Jennifer assisted with the development and implementation of Alberta's ground-breaking greenhouse-gas-emissions regime through the establishment of an arms-length corporation set up to administer the money paid into the Climate Change and Emissions Management Fund by Alberta's large industrial greenhouse gas emitters.

Her involvement continues as she provides ongoing advice to this corporation. She also counsels two organizations focused on energy, environment and bio solutions that were formed under the restructured Alberta research and innovation system.

In 2009, Jennifer’s impressive practice and dedication to the legal profession earned her a Lexpert Rising Star: Leading Lawyer Under 40 award. The media often seeks her opinions on climate change and environmental issues. She has been interviewed by numerous publications and she has appeared as a guest columnist on a leading energy and environmental-market website.

She is a regular contributor to the firm's climate change and environmental blogs, both of which have garnered recognition for their coverage of environmental issues and the emerging regulatory framework surrounding carbon markets.

Jennifer has made a strong commitment to her community by serving as a Director of The Support Network and the Kids Up Front Foundation and volunteering with political associations on both the provincial and federal levels.
