Growth Plan Transition Regulation Amended

The Province has amended the transition regulation with respect to the Growth Plan to clarify how official plan amendment applications commenced prior to June 16, 2006 are to be treated. O. Reg. 324/06. signed and filed earlier today (June 19) clarifies that for official plan amendment applications commenced before June 16, 2006, and that do NOT seek to add 300 or more hectares to an area of settlement, the Plan does not apply.  This is subject to the caveat that if the matter is at the OMB, and a revision to the application is made to add land to an area of settlement, the Plan applies.
