Tony McArthur is a partner of Davis LLP. He is Managing Partner of the Firm's Tokyo office. Mr. McArthur practices in the area of business law, including mergers and acquisitions, international commercial transactions and finance, with an emphasis on M&A, natural resources and energy, infrastructure projects/PPP.

Tony has resided in Japan for over fifteen years and speaks Japanese. He was admitted as a practicing lawyer to the Bar of British Columbia, Canada, in 1983. In 1996, he was admitted to practice foreign law in Japan. In 1997 Tony was the founding partner in the Firm's Tokyo office, establishing the first Canadian based law office in Japan. He has lectured frequently in the field of international legal and commercial affairs.

Tony represents a broad range of clients in their business law matters, including their investments, expansions and operations domestically as well as internationally. He advises on:

• Commercial lending and private financing transactions
