David Foulds

David Foulds is a partner who practises litigation in the Toronto office of Davis LLP, with an emphasis on commercial disputes. David has represented clients in all levels of courts in Ontario, the Federal Court of Canada, a number of administrative tribunals and a variety of international and domestic arbitrations. He has also acted for a number of clients in the defence of class actions.

David has also successfully developed and maintained a broad litigation practice which extends beyond commercial disputes. In particular:

He has significant ongoing experience representing both plaintiffs and defendants in defamation litigation and has regularly provided pre-publication defamation advice to a variety of media clients.
He regularly acts for plaintiffs in disputes with accountants and auditors relating to the provision of accounting and auditing services.
He has experience representing legal and medical professionals in the defence of professional liability claims.

David is the Former Chair of the Student Recruitment and Development Committee in Davis's Toronto office and is a member of the firm's Associate and Professional Development, Partnership Admission and Risk Management Committees.
