New Drinking Water Regulations

As part of the ongoing implementation of the Walkerton Inquiry reccommendations, the Ministry of the Environment has filed a number of new regulations under theSafe Drinking Water Act, 2002.

Regulation 252/05 puts non-residential and seasonal residential uses into their own regulation with fundamental requirements for testing, reporting and corrective action. 5 categories of water systems are created and includes specific testing requirements which set out the frequency and types of tests to be done.
