Bill 136 - Places To Grow Act Receives Royal Assent

Bill 136, thePlaces to GrowAct, today  received third reading from the Legislative Assembly, was given Royal Assent, and is now in force.  Cabinet now has the power to put in place growth plans for designated areas of the province.  The Draft Growth Plan for the Greater Golden Horseshoe, released in February, is expected to be released during the summer.  We will keep monitoring the progress of the growth plan and report on any further developments.

The Legislative Assembly has now adjourned until September 26, 2005.
