Pushed Over the Edge?

Back in June of 2010, it was reported that Tim Langdell, the holder of various trademarks related to Edge (such as Gamer's Edge and Cutting Edge) filed a lawsuit against EA, claiming that Mirror's Edge was infringing on his Edge trademark. It has now been reported that EA has filed its own counterclaim against Langdell and Edge Games. Among other things, the counterclaim reportedly alleges that the "family" of Edge trademarks have not been used in commerce and in good faith by Langdell and his alter ego companies, and that they have been used to assert baseless claims against third parties. It has also been reported that EA is seeking legal fees in its counterclaim, as well as further relief as deemed "just and proper" by the court.
