Program DescriptionThe firm is deeply committed to providing a first-class education to its students. We seek to attract and train outstanding law students who will continue with the firm as associates and who will ultimately develop into partners. Summer students are treated as articling students in all respects in that they are given the opportunity to pursue specific areas of interest or try a broad range of activities. The size of our Toronto office enables our students to work directly with senior lawyers, as well as with associates at all levels of their careers. As part of our educational program, our lawyers offer a series of regular seminars covering many topics. We believe that a student's time with the firm is primarily for learning. The student's principal/mentor therefore monitors the amount and type of work each student receives. We maintain an open-door environment and encourage students to ask questions and get involved in the life of the firm. Although students who summer or article with Davis work under supervision, every effort is made to give each student as much responsibility as he or she can comfortably handle. |
