Following the Privacy and Communication Directive issued by the European Union on the use of cookies – small pieces of data that are deposited in a user's web browser to track their online activity and behaviour – the United Kingdom has announced new legislation to enact the directive. Chris Bennett, head of the Davis LLP IT Law group, discusses the rules and compliance steps in the September 28, 2012 issue of Lawyers Weekly magazine.
