Focusing on regulatory law, our  lawyers advise on acquisitions and dispositions, facilities approvals and tariff matters for both utilities and utility customers. Members of our group often appear before the provincial and federal regulatory boards and other energy tribunals.

A member of our group was heavily involved in the deregulation of the natural gas commodity in Canada and related open-access pipeline issues, and also played a role in the deregulation of the electricity commodity in Alberta, Ontario, New Zealand and elsewhere, and related open-access electricity system issues.
