Robert Seidel Appointed Honorary Consul of DenmarkPublished: Monday, 21 November 2011 Davis LLP is pleased to announce that the firm’s Managing Partner, Robert Seidel, Q.C., has been appointed Honorary Consul of Denmark for Edmonton and Acting Vice Consul for Calgary. The honorary consulates assist the Embassy in Ottawa and the Trade Commission in Toronto in the commercial, political and consular services provided to Danes and Canadians. Consular Services include issuing passports, processing visa-applications, legalizing of documents, providing emergency-support to fellow citizens, public notary functions and liaising with local authorities in Denmark and in Canada. The honorary consulates also represent Denmark at official functions and provide information about Denmark to Canadians. From his Edmonton and Calgary offices, Robert works with clients in both the private and public sectors, with an emphasis on providing legal and strategic business advice to senior executives, boards of directors and elected officials. He has been appointed to a number of boards and, most recently, was appointed Chair of the Board of Alberta Innovates Health Solutions.
