Jennifer Cleall quoted in Canadian LawyerPublished: Monday, 19 December 2011 Jennifer Cleall, of Davis LLP's Edmonton office, was quoted recently in Canadian Lawyer magazine. In the article, "Warming to Adaptation,” by Patricia MacInnis, Jennifer discusses the need for businesses not only to mitigate climate change, but also to begin making decisions based on a new climate. Excerpt from the article: The idea of adapting to climate change has been around for a long time and is something that doesn’t replace mitigation efforts, but rather, works in tandem with them, says Jennifer Cleall, a partner with Davis LLP in Edmonton. “We should continue our efforts in the area of mitigation and we should reduce our emissions in an effort to slow down climate change, but we have to recognize it’s happening, and we have to ask, ‘what will you do to make yourself less vulnerable,’” says Cleall.
