Davis LLP Infrastructure Team Advises Consortiums in Three Projects - Alberta Schools and Edmonton Ring Road in Alberta and Kelowna-Vernon Hospital in BC.

The Alberta Schools Project, a $450 million + project involves the design, building, financing and maintenance of 18 new schools, 9 in Edmonton and 9 in Calgary. Davis acted on behalf of a consortium led by Babcock & Brown.
The Edmonton Ring Road Project (also know as the Anthony Henday Drive North West Leg), involves a combination highway and bridge project in Edmonton, Alberta and the project value is approximately $1.4 billion.
Davis acted as counsel to a consortium led by Bilfinger Berger Project Investments Inc. Both of these projects closed in September 2008. The third project, involving the Interior Health Authority successfully completed the commercial and financial close of the Kelowna and Vernon Hospitals Project in August 2008.
The $435 million Project requires the design, construction, financing, maintenance and life cycle rehabilitation of a new parkade and University of British Columbia facility, a new ambulatory and emergency facility in Kelowna and a new diagnostic and treatment building in Vernon, British Columbia.
Davis LLP was Counsel to the successful proponent - a consortium led by Bilfinger Berger Project Investments Inc. and John Laing PLC.
