Davis LLP Donates $34,000 to Haiti Relief EffortsPublished: Monday, 22 February 2010 Although news reports on Haiti have been recently displaced by Olympic headlines, the plight of the Haitian people who suffered the magnitude-seven earthquake is never far from our minds. Davis LLP is pleased to report it has raised $34,000 for the Haiti relief effort. Individuals lawyers and staff members donated $17,000, and the firm matched their donations, bringing the Davis total to $34,000. In addition to the amount donated by the Davis community, the federal government has committed to matching individual donations as well, which brings the grand total to $51,000. The firm will provide its donation to the Canadian Red Cross in support of the organization's work to rebuild Haiti. |
