Climate Change Event a Resounding SuccessPublished: Wednesday, 22 July 2009 On Monday, July 20 2009, Davis LLP's Edmonton office hosted Canada's Chief Negotiator and Climate Change Ambassador, Michael Martin. Martin spoke to a packed room on Canada's position relative to the United States and moving Canada towards a strong negotiating position in Copenhagen in December. He also gave some insight into what he feels are Canada's challenges in the world of climate change. The standing room only event was attended by distinguished members from government and industry, including the Hon. Mel Knight, Alberta's Minister of Energy, Gary Holden, the CEO and President of Enmax Corporation, Eric Newell, the Chair of the Climate Change and Emissions Management (CCEMC) Corporation and Jim Carter, a retired former Syncrude CEO. |
