D. Dean Leung
National Director of Information Technology
Dean Leung joined Davis LLP as National Director of Information Technology in 2003. His work in advancing technology at Davis has led to the authorship of whitepapers and speaking engagements on Voice and Data Communications, and Virtualization.
Dean received his Bachelor of Applied Science in Electrical Engineering with a focus on networking and communications at the University of British Columbia (UBC). He holds several IT designations which include Novell's CNE, Citrix's CCA, and Microsoft's MCSE and was formerly a Microsoft Certified Trainer (MCT). Employed by a national law firm prior to joining Davis, Dean has over 14 years of IT experience in industries including education, consulting and manufacturing.
Dean was formerly the northwest regional vice president for the International Legal Technology Association (ILTA) and currently serves on the Remote, Wireless, and Mobile Steering Committee. ILTA serves as a peer networking organization for member law firms to share information and learn how to make technology work effectively for the legal profession. He was also on the planning board of, and speaker at, the Pacific Legal Technology Conference and has published papers pertaining to the implementation and use of leading edge technology at law firms.
Dean is currently a convocation member of the UBC Senate and has been a member of a number of committees at UBC, including the Advisory Committee on Information Technology, the Computing and Communications Rates Committee, and the Teaching and Learning Committee. He is a member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE).
Nadia Myerthall
Director of Student Programs
Nadia Myerthall joined Davis LLP in 2007 as the Director of Student Programs. She is responsible for the recruitment and development of articling and summer students.
Nadia was previously the Co-Director of Career Services at the University of British Columbia's Faculty of Law where she planned and managed career services and programs to assist law students and alumni to secure employment in the legal profession. Prior to that, she was the Program Manager of the Professional Legal Training Course (the bar admission program of the Law Society of British Columbia).
Nadia holds a B.A. from the University of British Columbia and an LL.B. from Dalhousie University. She is currently a non-practicing member of the Law Society of British Columbia and the Law Society of Nova Scotia.
