He has practised in the area of civil litigation in Calgary since 1989, first with Fraser Milner Casgrain and most recently with McCarthy Tétrault.

His primary areas of practice are Alberta Securities Commission regulatory matters, involving both investigations and hearings, employment and labour law and corporate commercial litigation, including securities litigation.
