Terence Dalgleish is counsel in the firm's Calgary office. His practice focuses on regulatory law before the Alberta Utilities Commission, National Energy Board and energy tribunals in other Canadian jurisdictions.
Terence regularly provides advice and representation in respect of acquisitions and dispositions, facilities approvals and tariff matters for both utilities and utility customers. As general counsel of TransCanada PipeLines Limited, he was heavily involved in the deregulation of the natural gas commodity in Canada and related open-access pipeline issues. As senior vice-president of TransAlta Corporation, Terence was heavily involved in the deregulation of the electricity commodity in Alberta, Ontario, New Zealand and elsewhere, and related open access electricity transmission and distribution system issues. Terence was appointed Queen's Counsel (Alberta) in 1994.
