Shawn's pension and benefit practice covers:

The establishment of new pension and benefit plans
Negotiation of agreements with service providers such as investment managers, custodians, actuaries, benefit consultants, carriers and underwriters
Advising on trustee duties and obligations as well as plan governance and administration
Advising on plan mergers, amalgamations, reorganizations and wind-ups
Facilitating the resolution of pension and benefit disputes between labour and management.

Shawn maintains a diverse and active corporate and commercial practice acting for numerous privately owned businesses in a variety of sectors.

Shawn also provides advice on estate planning and business succession.

Shawn is a course coordinator for the Continuing Legal Education Pension and Benefits courses
