He employs rigorous strategic analysis, gained from experience in business litigation, mediation and negotiation, to successfully close commercial transactions and resolve disputes.

His specific expertise includes:

- executive employment, including retention, compensation and exit;

- shareholder agreements and remedies;

- employment law;

- angel and venture financing;

- consulting contracts and licenses; and

- protection and optimization of intellectual capital.

Scott is also a skilled advocate and practitioner of alternate dispute resolution. He has studied and taught mediation at Harvard Law School Program of Instruction for Lawyers. He is on the Advisory Board of the CCH British Columbia Corporations Law Guide.
