Robert Calvert is a partner in the litigation department of the Davis LLP Calgary office. Since being called to the Bar in 1974, Robert has concentrated in the area of civil litigation. This includes commercial litigation, employment, administrative law, insurance, including both defence and coverage issues' and property disputes.

Robert actively promotes volunteerism within the legal community and with the public, and strongly advocates ongoing professional development.

He has served as Chair, Canadian Bar Association, of various sections including Civil litigation, Insurance and Personal Injury. Robert has served on the Civil Practice Advisory Committee, Law Society of Alberta and continues in the role as a mentor in Civil Litigation and Family Litigation for the Law Society. Robert has prepared various papers and spoken frequently for the Legal Education Society of Alberta, Alberta Civil Trial Lawyers Association, and the Canadian Bar Association amongst others. He has served on the Membership Commitee, CBA and spoken at both their National meetings and Provincial meetings. Currenty Robert is on the Board of Directors of Legal Aid Alberta.
