Biography

Rebecca La Flamme joined the Toronto office of Davis LLP in 2009 as an associate practising in the area of commercial litigation. Ms. La Flamme completed her articles at McLennan Ross LLP in Calgary, where she primarily focused on civil and commercial litigation.

Prior to joining Davis LLP, Ms. La Flamme worked as an associate at Greenspan Partners in Toronto, practising in all types of criminal law with a focus on the defence of complex white-collar criminal litigation. Ms. La Flamme was junior counsel to Edward L. Greenspan, Q.C. on R. v. Drabinsky, [2009] O.J. No. 1227 (S.C.J.), a complex accounting fraud case, involving a trial lasting several months. In addition, Ms. La Flamme regularly appeared and assisted in court on various criminal matters, including trials, preliminary hearings, bail hearings, pleas and sentencing.

Ms. La Flamme completed her Honours, Bachelor of Arts degree in the area of Political Science at the University of Toronto in 2000 and received her Bachelor of Laws from the University of Calgary in 2006. She was actively involved in the Society of Law Students, Student Legal Assistance, and competitive mooting. Before becoming a lawyer, Ms. La Flamme worked as the Policy Research Officer at the Ontario Campaign for Action on Tobacco and she was also an Ontario Legislature Intern.
