Biography
Pablo Guzman is the managing partner of Davis LLP's Montréal office. He practises in the areas of commercial litigation, contracts, insolvency, security-taking and the enforcement of creditors' rights. He routinely counsels clients in the drafting, review, management and enforcement of contracts and security instruments, including securitization agreements. Mr. Guzman often provides counsel on business-related legislation, including Québec's Consumer Protection Act, the Charter of the French Language, the Civil Code of Québec and privacy legislation. He has appeared before the Québec, Superior and Appeal Courts and provincial and federal administrative tribunals.
Mr. Guzman was born in El Salvador, Central America and emigrated to Canada in 1976. He obtained a B.A. in Political Science at Université du Québec à Montréal in 1989, specializing in international relations. He received his Bachelor of Laws degree from the Université de Montréal in 1992.
