Biography
Tony McArthur is a partner of Davis LLP. He is Managing Partner of the Firm's Tokyo office. Mr. McArthur practices in the area of business law, including mergers and acquisitions, international commercial transactions and finance, with an emphasis on Canada-Japan commerce and investment.
Mr. McArthur has resided in Japan for over ten years and speaks Japanese. During his residency in Japan, he has worked exclusively in the area of international business and financial transactions. Mr. McArthur was admitted to the Bar of British Columbia, Canada, in 1983. In 1996, he was admitted to practice Canadian and international law in Japan. In 1997 Mr. McArthur was the founding partner in the Firm's Tokyo office, establishing the first Canadian based law office in Japan.
Mr. McArthur has lectured and published frequently in the field of international legal and commercial affairs.
