Nicholas Milliken
Associate
Nicholas Milliken is an associate in the firm's Edmonton office. He practises general litigation with a particular interest in labour and employment law, and corporate and commercial disputes.
Nicholas enjoys advocating for his clients, and has appeared before the Provincial Court, the Court of Queen’s Bench, and the Court of Appeal on a variety of matters. Along with court appearances and general trial work, Nicholas is experienced in workplace harassment and discrimination investigations, collective bargaining rights, construction and commercial litigation and corporate disputes. Nicholas has a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and a Bachelor of Commerce with distinction, both from the University of Alberta. During his undergraduate studies, he focused primarily on developments in trade policy, organizational culture, and effective negotiation techniques. Nicholas completed his legal studies at the University of Saskatchewan, where he received his Juris Doctor. Nicholas was a co-director (2007) for Student Legal Services, SIAST Kelsey Campus, which provided free legal advice to college students. He was also a founding member of the Scales of Social Justice Human Rights Organization.
