Mitchell Mostyn

Mitchell Mostyn practises corporate/commercial, construction and procurement law and has extensive experience in the Canadian and international public-private partnerships (PPP) sector. In the PPP sector, Mitchell acts for equity sponsors, lenders, contractors and public authorities, and his experience spans a wide variety of infrastructure projects (including highways, bridges, hospitals and other social infrastructure projects). Mitchell has also acted for a number of clients seeking to procure new manufacturing or assembly facilities, and has worked both within and outside of the CCDC/CCA document regime. Mitchell's experience also extends to the drafting and negotiation of complex services contracts, including those between the public and private sectors.
In addition to his private sector work in the PPP sector, Mitchell has significant experience acting as special PPP advisor to public authorities, including those seeking to establish a PPP regime or undertake their first PPP project. Most recently, Mitchell acted as special PPP counsel to the public authority on Bermuda's first PPP transaction, the King Edward VII Memorial Hospital Redevelopment Project, which is currently under construction. He recently acted as special PPP counsel to a large Canadian municipality on its first set of PPP projects, and he acted for the procuring authority on one of Canada's first acute care hospital PPP projects.
