Mélanie Martel

Mélanie Martel is an associate in Davis LLP's Montréal office. Mélanie is a litigation lawyer, specializing in the areas of Commercial Litigation, Bankruptcy and Insolvency matters as well as Civil Liability cases. 
Mélanie received her bachelor of laws degree from Université Laval where she was on the dean's honour list. She also studied at the University of Victoria in British Columbia as part of a Common Law/Droit civil exchange program. Before she was called to the Québec Bar, she gained more than two years of experience in commercial, civil and labour litigation as a student and articling student with a large national law office, and she worked with the legal department of a bank as a law student. She currently teaches Contract Law at the University of Sherbrooke, as well as teaching the Law of Obligation at L'École de Formation du Barreau du Québec. Professional Associations & Activities
