Laura Bisset

Laura Bisset is an associate in the Davis LLP Toronto office. She is a member of Davis LLP's Municipal, Planning and Environmental Law Group, practising primarily in the areas of administrative and regulatory law, municipal and land use planning law, and environmental law.
Laura appears regularly in front of decision-makers who consider land use matters, including municipal councils, the Ontario Municipal Board, the Environmental Review Tribunal, and all levels of Court in Ontario. Laura provides advice related to development approvals and land use planning policy, including Provincial policy conformity exercises, Official Plan Amendments, Zoning By-law Amendments, Draft Plans of Subdivision, Site Plans, minor variances, consents, brownfield remediation, and environmental assessments. A significant part of Laura's practice involves advising clients with respect to aggregate licensing. She advises municipalities and residents groups in the development of aggregate policies and over the course of their participation in the aggregate approvals process. In the course of undertaking this work, Laura has had the opportunity to deal with complex land use planning policy, environmental, and infrastructure issues. Laura attended Osgoode Hall Law School, where she received the Osgoode Hall Law School Upper Year Award of Excellence, and ranked among the top ten students in her class upon her graduation in 2004. Laura articled in the Toronto office of Davis LLP in 2004-2005, and returned as an associate upon her call to the bar in July 2005.
