Hiroaki Shinomiya specializes in finance (including securitization, structured finance, derivatives and syndicated loans), financial regulation (including banking law, securities law, trust business law, insurance business law), general corporate law and compliance, renewable energy as well as climate change law.
Prior to joining Davis & Takahashi, Mr. Shinomiya practised with a leading Japanese law firm. He also worked for Japan's Financial Services Agency, at which he dealt with legislation related to The Financial Instruments and Exchange Act and associated financial regulations, and experienced a secondment with Berwin Leighton Paisnor, a U.K.-based firm.
