Edwin Nordholm

As a former partner in a prominent Toronto-based law firm, Ed has advised a variety of clients with respect to:

• public and private financings
• cross-border acquisitions and divestitures
• auction transactions
• going-private and issuer bid transactions
• debt acquisitions
• bridge lending transactions
• other merchant banking transactions

He held a senior role with Tricap Restructuring Fund, a special situations fund sponsored by Brookfield Asset Management and played a key role in Tricap's principal investments, including Tricap's exit financing in the CCAA proceedings for Stelco Inc. and the recapitalization of Western Forest Products.

Ed first joined Brookfield in 1990 and worked extensively in the restructuring of the Group's North American real estate holdings, culminating with the acquisition of Olympia & York's core holdings in New York and Boston out of O&Y's Chapter 11 proceedings.
