Biography

Doug Buchanan was the National Managing Partner of Davis LLP for two terms, 1995-98 and 2004-07. He practices out of the firm's Vancouver, Toronto and Tokyo offices and is one of the leading lawyers in Canada in the areas of banking, corporate and M&A, project finance and project development, including natural resource projects, power projects, public-private partnerships and infrastructure projects. He:

• is qualified to practice law in both Ontario and British Columbia.
• is designated Queen's Counsel (British Columbia).
• is one of only four Canadian lawyers ranked in Tier 1 for "Projects" in the 2009 Chambers Guides to the World's Leading Lawyers, and is also "Recommended" in "Banking & Finance".
