Don Bell is a partner in the Toronto and Tokyo offices of Davis LLP, with almost 20 years of experience providing corporate/commercial advice to Canadian and Japanese clients.

In addition to advising on transactions, Don provides ongoing general business law advice to a number of Canadian and Japanese corporations. Before law school, Don worked for several years for a Japanese electronics manufacturer and a business consulting company. His business experience is reflected in the very practical and client service-oriented business counsel he provides to clients and to the various committees within Davis on which he sits. Don is a member of Davis' Japan Practice Group and works extensively with Japanese businesses, and with Canadian businesses involved in commercial activity relating to Japan. He is based in Toronto, but works out of the firm's Tokyo office on a regular basis. He is also a member of the firm's executive committee and sits on various other committees within the firm. Don is admitted to the bars of British Columbia, Ontario, and New York, and is chair of the Vancouver chapter of the New York State Bar Association International Law and Practice Section.
