Blair Shaw is a partner in Davis' Litigation Practice Group with a broad range of corporate and commercial litigation experience including construction disputes, building design and construction deficiencies, infrastructure and heavy machinery design negligence, builders liens, product deficiencies and liability, real estate transactions, commercial leasing disputes, contract disputes, professional negligence, and health and pension benefits litigation.
A native of Vancouver, Blair was educated at the University of British Columbia. He was admitted to the British Columbia Bar in 1987, and the Yukon Bar in 2009, and has practised law with Davis since articling with the firm in 1986.
Blair has appeared as counsel before the B.C. Provincial Court, Supreme Court and Court of Appeal, the Alberta Queen's and Court of Appeal, the Yukon Supreme and Territorial Courts, the Queen's Bench of Saskatchewan, the Federal Court Trial Division, and the Federal Court of Appeal.
He has also appeared as counsel before commercial arbitrators and mediators and administrative tribunals, including the Workers' Compensation Board, the Residential Tenancies Branch, the Human Rights Commission and the Canadian Institute of Actuaries.
