Angeline is a lawyer practicing in the areas of Corporate/Commercial/M&A Law, Natural Resources Law (Energy, Forestry, Mining and Oil and Gas) and Aboriginal Law and First Nations Legal Issues with a focus on sustainable resource development, integrated resource management and land use issues. She is also a Registered Professional Forester, certified to practice forestry in British Columbia. Her clients include corporations, not-for-profits, governments, investors and contractors.
Angeline provides strategic and legal advice on commercial, regulatory and policy issues related to natural resource development and assets management. She regularly advises clients on leases, licences, contracts, socio-economic benefits, sustainable management and project development agreements, business partnerships and human resources. Also, Angeline acts as team lead and counsel to clients on various matters concerning aboriginal and treaty rights including jurisdictional issues; the duty to consult and accommodate, mitigation, avoidance, business ethics; and other options such as commercial and business development. She has successfully negotiated partnerships and joint ventures and commercial agreements, including, impact benefits, revenue sharing and participation agreements for mining, energy, natural gas and forestry projects on Crown lands, within municipalities and on Indian reserve lands. She also regularly advises on specific claims and aboriginal rights and title claims, treaty imlementation and governance issues. In 2012, Angeline was elected to Council of the Association of BC Forest Professionals for a two year term. She is the Council's representative on the Board of Examiners. Prior to becoming a lawyer, Angeline worked in the forestry industry for tenure holders and contractors in the areas of forest resources planning and operations (engineering). She also managed silviculture crews and programs on the coast. Additionally, Angeline worked for the federal Department of Fisheries and Oceans as a fish (health) inspection technician and for not-for-profits and other entities, advising on sustainable management, human resources and environmental policy.
