Angeline Nyce, R.P.F.

Angeline Nyce is an associate in the Corporate/Commercial/M&A, Aboriginal Law, Forestry, Mining and, Japan Groups at Davis LLP in Vancouver. Angeline's law practice focuses on commercial contracts, land use and resource development issues, project development, business structuring, corporate governance, and Aboriginal law and First Nations legal issues. She is also a Registered Professional Foresters who possess a degree in forest resources management.

Angeline advises clients on tenure acquisitions and asset transfers, project development, including due diligence reviews, commercial contracts, business structuring and corporate governance. Her commercial law practice involves negotiating energy, forestry, mining, oil and gas and other land and resource use agreements including access, road use and management agreements. Additionally, she advises clients on land transactions, leases, real and personal property issues, environmental and regulatory compliance.

Her aboriginal law practice focuses on the full spectrum of constitutional and legal issues related to aboriginal and treaty rights. She advises clients on the duty to consult, mitigation and avoidance and economic accommodation through impact benefits and participation agreements. Also, she has assisted clients in negotiating interim  agreements,  comprehensive and specific claims and setting up business structures in partnerships and joint ventures in order to facilitate implementation and governance under these agreements. Angeline also advises First Nations and their organizations on social, economic and community development issues and governance including economic and community development agreements affecting both First Nations' lands (non-treaty and treaty settlement lands) and Crown lands.

Prior to becoming a lawyer, Angeline worked in the forestry and fishing industries and for the federal government and not for profit post-secondary institutions in various capacities.

Angeline joined Davis in 2009 as an associate after articling and practising law in a full service law firm with a well established business law and Aboriginal law practice.
