Biography
Ali Owaisi is an associate in the Corporate/Commercial department of the Toronto office, and is also a member of Davis LLP's national Infrastructure & Project Finance and Charities & Not-for-Profit Organizations Practice Groups.
Mr. Owaisi attended the University of Toronto where he obtained an honours Bachelor of Science degree in cognitive science in 1997, and a master of arts in philosophy in 1998. Mr. Owaisi graduated from Osgoode Hall Law School at York University in 2006. While attending law school, Mr. Owaisi received the Cassels, Brock & Blackwell Prize in Civil Procedure, and the Goodmans LLP Scholarship. Prior to entering the practice of law, Mr. Owaisi instructed a number of undergraduate-level philosophy courses at Queen's University in Kingston, Ontario, and also worked as a research assistant in the Policy Branch of the Ontario Human Rights Commission.
Mr. Owaisi joined Davis in 2005 as a summer student and articled at the firm before returning as an associate following his admission to the Ontario Bar in 2007.
