Alexis Alyea

Alexis Alyea is an associate in the Real Estate Law & Municipal Law Groups at Davis LLP in Toronto. Alexis practises in the areas of land use planning law and commercial real estate.
Alexis advises on development approvals and agreements, commercial acquisitions and sales, and environmental issues. She has experience with the unique issues affecting Crown corporations and utilities, and provides advice related to regulatory and legislative compliance. Alexis also frequently represents public and private-sector clients before the Ontario Municipal Board, the Environmental Review Tribunal and the Licence Appeals Tribunal. She advises on land use policies, bylaws, subdivision issues, permits, variances and prosecutions. Alexis joined Davis in 2006 as a student and articled at the firm. She returned as an associate following her call to the bar in June 2008. Before becoming a lawyer, Alexis worked at planning consulting firms and in Regional government, and has experience in land use planning policy and practice. Alexis earned her honours Bachelor of Environmental Studies from the School of Planning at the University of Waterloo in 2004, and received her J.D. from the University of Toronto in 2007.
