Biography
Alan Monk is a member of the Securities & Corporate Finance, Corporate / Commercial / M&A, and Mining Law Practice Groups in the Vancouver office of Davis LLP. Mr. Monk's securities practice involves public and private financings, including brokered and non-brokered private placements and bought deals, initial public offerings, and advising on continuous disclosure, corporate governance and regulatory compliance for public companies primarily listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange or the TSX Venture Exchange. He has also been involved in several merger & acquisition and restructuring transactions.
Mr. Monk's corporate/ commercial and mining practices include the preparation and negotiation of a variety of commercial agreements, including shareholders' agreements, option and joint venture agreements, royalty agreements, confidentiality agreements, off-take agreements and employment agreements. He has also been involved in preparing legal opinions in respect of mineral tenure holdings in British Columbia.
