A few changes in new cabinet

Prime Minister Stephen Harper announced his new cabinet on Wednesday. The key appointments related to energy and environment include:

• Peter Kent stays as Environment Minister
• Jim Flaherty stays as Finance Minister
• Christian Paradis (formerly Natural Resources Minister) takes over as Industry Minister from Tony Clement
• Joe Oliver (a rookie MP from Toronto and the former executive director of the Ontario Securities Commission) takes over as Natural Resources Minister from Christian Paradis
