We organize a range of social events throughout the year so that all of our employees can get to know one another better, and celebrate and congratulate one another on important accomplishments – external to the everyday office setting.
Davis LLP believes in “giving back.” We embrace charitable initiatives throughout the year and support our employees who become involved in events that help our shared communities thrive. We provide inter-office opportunities to raise funds and awareness for a cross-section of organizations dedicated to helping others. In some cases, we launch friendly competitions between offices to help meet or even exceed fundraising goals. These include a cross-Canada food drive for local Food Banks, United Way Campaigns, and the increasingly popular Movember! We strive to be an influence to younger generations by providing practicums to high school and college students to introduce them to the corporate environment, and we encourage our lawyers to volunteer time and expertise to pro bono matters.
To encourage our employees to engage with the greater community, our Volunteer Recognition Program seeks to acknowledge those who have volunteered their personal time. Employees get nominated by their peers, which we believe encourages lawyers and staff to learn more about each other and what’s important to them – outside of the office environment. Successful nominees from the lawyer category and staff category receive $1,000 donated to the charity of their choice.
