Government announces second Growth Plan

The government announced that a second Growth Plan under the Places to Grow Act will be developed, covering Northern Ontario. The plan will presumably be an effort to stimulate growth, as opposed to the Greater Golden Horsehoe Plan, which is more focussed on managing growth. By way of example, while the population in the Golden Horshoe grew substantially from 2001-2006, the City of Thunder Bay only increased in population by 124, a 0.1% rate of growth!

The press release announcing the Plan can be found here.
