The Justice Education Society has launched an internet training course, Online Parenting After Separation, the first of its kind in Canada.
The course is intended for parents in remote areas of British Columbia who cannot attend the Parenting After Separation workshop. The course, when fully operational, will not be available to parents with access to in person workshops, in proximity to most court registries. Beginning in April, 2011, the online course was in the process of evaluation, and a set number of evaluators are (or were!) rewarded for their time commitment and contribution with a $50 payment. Online Parenting After Separation can be accessed at www.FamiliesChange.ca.
The Parenting after Separation Program is a mandatory program for parents involved in custody disputes before B.C. courts, intended to assist parents in minimizing the impact of divorce on children when parenting together after marriage breakdown.
